Chef Anthony's Restaurant @ Melaka Raya with Bryan Ng Yih Miin & Adele
Home - Cooked Portugese Food

Fresh Kurau Fish in Portugese Style Baked(Home Style of Spicy Baked Seafood in Aluminium Foil Bag)

Kangkong Sambal Belacan
(RM6)

Awesome awesome Thumbs Up Food!

Chef Anthony's Restaurant

Rating for Portugese Style Baked Fish : 8 - 8.5/10
Rating for Kangkong Sambal Belacan : 8 - 8.5/10

WHY?
1. Portion Rating : 8.5/10, the fish was big enough for two,  and
the RM6 kangkong really is more than
                                             sufficient for two.
2. Quality of Food : 8.5 - 9/10, it depends on the style of cooking,
                                                    but nevertheless, the Portugese
Style Baked Fish has the real
unique spicy taste. The fish is
freshly picked and weighed in front
of the restaurant. You can choose
the fish of your choice based to the
species or weigh and price of the fish.
                                                    The sambal belacan kangkong tastes
superb as dried prawns and some
                                                    other ingredients are added.
                                                    *Cooked by Chef Anthony from
a restaurant used to be in
                                                      Portugese Settlement and the
food here is in great demand!*
3. Price : 8/10, it is considered cheap and Reasonable. We've been
to places where the fish has less meat and less vege
but price is more costly! Whilst in this place, the food
tastes good and the price is reasonable. Bring family
                          along too!
4. Environment : 8/10, clean, has the homely environment, Friendly
staff, good service, cooling, plays some music.

Bryan Ng Yih Miin and Adele visit Penang Chendul and nasi lemak!

This cendol is at the shop in Komtar Walk, RM2.50

Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul, Penang

Rating for Nasi Lemak : 8/10
Rating for cendol : 8 - 8.5/10

WHY?
1. Portion Rating : 8.5/10, as you can see, the cendol is packed full into
the bowl while the nasi lemak is just in the
                                        right amount! Nothing less.
2. Quality of Food : 8 - 8.5/10, both are delicious, no wonder the people
would just stand and eat cendul even under
hot sun! There are constantly people
stopping by there to eat or tapau :)
3. Price : 8/10, reasonable price. Once full bowl of cendol costs only RM2.50

The big signboard

Stall next to the signboard, the Thai stall

Thai Style Tom Yam Pork Leg

Rating for Chicken Porridge : 8/10

nice to fill up one's tummy.
2. Quality of Food : 7 - 8/10, the Thai Style Tom Yam Pork Leg
is just nice. The soup is nicely made
while the Chicken porridge tastes good
as the chicken blended in with the
                                                 porridge making the porridge have
that nice aroma while eating it.
3. Price : 7 - 8/10, reasonable price for the yummy Chicken porridge
but a little bit on the higher price for the Thai Style

Yee Choon Seafood Restaurant, Balik Pulau with Bryan Ng Yih Miin and Adele

Yee Choon Seafood Restaurant, Balik Pulau

Yee Choon Seafood

Green vegetable

Asam curry stingray

Tofu

Yee Choon Restaurant is directly opposite this block

Yee Choon Seafood Restaurant, Balik Pulau

Rating for asam fish : 8/10
Tefan Tofu : 8/10
Vegetable : 7/10

WHY?
1. Portion Rating : 8/10, you will be full if you order these 3 food
for two heads! The pieces of fish came
surprisingly plenty to us. The vegetable,
tofu as well as fish are really sufficient
enough as they made us super full!
2. Quality of Food : 8/10, the fish is fresh while the tofu is soft
but the vegetable is kind of hard. Perhaps
it is because both of us don't know how
to order vegetables. There is no fishy smell
coming out of the asam fish.
3. Price : 8/10, surprisingly it is quite cheap, reasonable I should say.
The amount of fish we had costs just RM15, the tofu
costs RM9 while the vegetable is RM5. The drinks'
                          prices are the normal prices.
4. Environment : 8/10, clean, not messy, plenty of tables, not hot,
easily can get a table as not many people
eat there as it is a small and sleepy area.

Andrew's Kampung Restaurant, Batu Ferringhi

Rating for the food : 8.5 to 9 / 10

WHY?
1. Portion Rating : 9/10, the food come in amounts just enough per
person. That means, they will cook a small
portion for you to taste each of the food you
ordered. A very smart way so to not waste
food and at the same time also able to get a
taste of different kinds of food!
2. Quality of Food : 8.5 - 9/10, the sizzling prawn tastes more like Char
Kuey Teow type, hence, just tastes kind
of normal, but the prawn is big and
succulent! Apart from that, all other food
we tried is fantastic! They even have ice-
creams! You can take as much as you
want, as long as you don't waste the food!
3. Price : 9/10, RM23.90 per person for this buffet, and what you ordered,
they will specially cook for you! It's that simple! However,
this price excludes the drinks. But, how much can a drink
costs right? Less than RM5 even! Chinese tea for two
person(teapot) costs RM3. They also have Tiger beer
                        available there!
4. Environment : 9/10, comfy, like in one's home. No excessively-bright
lightings, no dirty floors, it's just relaxing there plus
on each of the chairs, there is a pillow for you to
sit on or lie on, for more comfy seating. Plus, you
can sit outside, where it is like a balcony. Decors are
                                  definitely hand-made! :)
